Egypt is one of the oldest civilistations(around 5000 years ago).It contains the two huge pyramids and the sphinx. They were a formidable nation staying at the top for nearly 30 centuries.

They were in control for many years (upto around 700 AD) until Umayyad armies took over and made the country part of the Islamic Empire.

Egypt's Religion
Egypt's religion had many Gods. They believed that they created us humans and earth. We were to worship them to keep the world running.
Everything was centered around the pharoah. In the morning the pharoah would have to pray to make the sun come out- this was one of their many rituals.
Mummifications is another of their origins. Egyptians tried hard to preserve their things in the tombs.
This was becuase they believed in the afterlife. They wanted the pahroah to have a good life afterwards so they put everything they thought he would need inside.
To stop thieves from stealing the treasure, the egyptians made it hard to get by having traps and caving walls.
